Scott Wilson develops Chinese business

Scott Wilson is now the majority owner of a joint-venture with Chinese firm Wuxi Communication and Planning Design Company. The group says the j-v supports SW's objective to respond to the rapidly expanding market west of Shanghai - particularly in the areas of infrastructure, the property sector, and environmental and business consultancy services.

SW claims to be the first foreign design consultancy to move into the Wuxi market. Active in the People's Republic since the mid-1980s, the UK-based PLC now employs over 1,000 staff in China, operating out of ten centres including Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
