Grontmij CFO resigns

After more than five years in the post, Douwe van der Werf, member of the executive board and chief financial officer of the Dutch remediation and energineering consultancy, Grontmij N.V., has decided to leave the company. He is taking the position of CFO at Breevast, a Netherlands-based property developer.

Mr van der Werf will stay at Grontmij until the publication of its 2008 figures on 12 March 2009. The company has initiated a search for a new CFO. In the meantime, chief executive officer Sylvo Thijsen and Birgit Nørgaard, chief operating officer of Grontmij N.V. and managing director of the Grontmij | Carl Bro business in Denmark, will share the tasks and responsibilities of the job between them.
