Camco wins DECC contract on house carbon refurbishment
04-Mar-09Camco has won a contract from the Department of Energy and Climate Change to assess how to deliver 80% carbon reductions in existing homes through the installation of a whole package of carbon reduction measures. The company has also been contracted to provide local planning advice on renewable and sustainable energy for Norwich, Broadland and South Norfolk councils, following similar work that it recently undertook for Winchester, Bath and Bolsover councils.
From 2 March the separate businesses operating within the Camco group, notably Energy for Sustainable Development (ESD), Bradshaw Consulting Limited and ESD Sinosphere (the Chinese subsidiary of ESD) will be integrated and united under the single brand name of Camco. The newly consolidated company comprises three distinct but complementary service areas, defined as carbon credits, advisory and investments.
Camco has also launched a software tool, EPLabel Online, to help public authorities produce display energy certificates.
