US environmental sector overshadowed by recession

Report identifies a few rays of hope in the US market but uncertainty is the name of the game for 2009.

The longstanding optimism felt by those in the US architecture, engineering and environmental consulting (AEC) industry is gone now, replaced by an overwhelming sense of uncertainty, reports ZweigWhite in its market forecast for the sector in 2009. However, there are still “a lot of micro-trends and pockets of activity,” it says, many of which fall within the environmental, sustainability and energy services arena.
