Aecom reports strong Q2 results, but UK remains a concern
11-May-09
Global technical and management support consultancy Aecom has announced 29% growth in revenue and a 30% increase in its order book for the second quarter of its 2009 fiscal year. Contract wins involving some of the world's largest infrastructure projects were instrumental in pushing revenue to $1.5 billion and its order book to $9.6 billion. Although Aecom continues to view the UK as a market hindered by lack of investor and corporate confidence, the consultancy's fortunes were bolstered by winning a project management role on the Crossrail scheme.
