AEA results show impact of lower UK gov't spending
11-Jun-09
AEA Technology has announced increases in both revenue and adjusted operating profits for the year ending 31 March 2009. The environmental consultancy's turnover grew by 16% to reach £93.7 million, but growth is entirely down to the addition of turnover from the US firm PPC - which AEA acquired in August last year - and also from double digit growth in its other international businesses. Adjusted operating profit rose more modestly, by 9% to £12.0 million. The order book has also grown to £57.5 million, compared to £50.5 million at the end of 2007/08, again driven by the acquisition of PPC.
