Carillion moves Enviros into broader business unit

Carillion business Services has merged its consulting business, which includes Enviros, TPS and Schal, with its government services business, which works with the defence, health and education ministries. Consulting business managing director Richard Sykes has been appointed CCGS managing director.

Mr Sykes told Environment Analyst the move "relates to a decision within Carillion on how to efficiently organise its respective business services operations and deploy management resource. It does not reflect a change in any of the business brands (TPS, Schal and Enviros), which Carillion continues to value very highly, nor does it signal a strategic shift towards more government focused work for the consulting business, which currently has and will continue to have an even split of public and private sector clients."
