RPS makes major Australian acquisition

Purchase of Conics brings in land development consultancy with £38 million sales, 570 staff; trading statement points to "pricing pressure and project delays"

Acquisitive RPS Group, the UK's biggest environmental consultancy, is set to acquire Brisbane-based planning, development and environmental consultancy Conics for £31.3 million. The deal is due to complete on 30 July following an extraordinary general meeting of Conics shareholders, virtually all of whom have already approved it.
