Environmental consulting loses gusto as recession hits
01-Jul-09The total UK market for environmental consulting services grew by 9% in 2008 to reach revenues of £1.46 million, according to Environment Analyst’s first annual survey of the sector. Although 9% represents a healthy increase, it nevertheless indicates that the environmental consultancy sector grew more slowly last year than it did in preceding years. The sector achieved compound average growth of 13% per annum for the period 2004-07. Environment Analyst forecasts severely-depressed growth in 2009, with the sector likely to expand by low single-digits at best.
