Environmental consultancies aim for success in Romania

A fledgling environmental consulting sector has developed rapidly in Romania with both international consultancies and home-grown businesses seeking to sell their expertise. Andreea Petrisor investigates

Several drivers have come together in Romania over the past decade to encourage the development of an environmental consultancy sector. It is far too early to judge how large the sector will become – or how consolidated – but discussions with both international, multidisciplinary consultancies and ‘home-grown’ businesses suggest this remains a market with prospects for those with staying power.
