Carbon lobby launched by EIC

The UK Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) has unveiled a new group whose focus will be to lobby government about “the economic benefits... of implementing effective carbon and environmental management policy measures”.

Several leading environmental consultancies are founding members of the new lobby, including AEA Technology, Aecom, ERM and WSP Environment and Energy. Other members include law firm Baker & McKenzie and “professional services firm” ICF International.

The lobby's initial priority areas will be UK and EU carbon management policy, corporate environmental and carbon reporting, carbon and environmental management systems, and sustainable procurement policy.
