ABB wins Saudi power efficiency contract
24-Nov-09Saudi Arabia's national power transmission and distribution company, Saudi Electricity, has hired ABB to improve the efficiency of 22 power distribution substations. ABB will design, engineer, supply, install and commission technologies to improve the power factor at substations in the Mecca, Medina, Jeddah and Ta'if regions. This will “increase capacity, improve power quality and raise network efficiency”, says ABB.
