Mott MacDonald acquires green buildings specialist

Multidisciplinary consultancy Mott MacDonald has bought London-based Fulcrum Consulting, described as "one of the UK's leading providers of sustainable energy solutions for buildings and the built environment". Fulcrum is a founding member of the UK Green Buildings Council and advisor to the secretary of state for energy and climate change, Ed Miliband. Employee-owned Mott MacDonald has a turnover of around £1 billion, with more than 1,400 staff in 140 countries worldwide. It is ranked as one of the top ten UK environmental consultancies, according to Environment Analyst's latest Market Assessment 2009.
