A science-based environmental consulting and laboratory service spun out from the University of Manchester over 20 years ago. It operates exclusively in the aquatic environment (both freshwater and marine). APEM is managed by a team of scientists, including many nationally-recognised experts. In addition to fisheries management, expertise in offshore birdlife is an important niche strength. Key clients include power companies, water utilities, LAs, regulators and conservation organisations.
