WSP reports “resilient performance” for 2009

Staff cuts total 1,300; Enviro & Energy division revenue down 13%

WSP Group's revenue and profit both took a tumble last year, according to preliminary results released for the year ending 31 December 2009. However, all four of its divisions remained profitable, including WSP Environment & Energy, despite the group absorbing sizeable restructuring costs and a large write-off for bad debt due to bills that remain unpaid by Dubai-based clients.
