Amec increases EBITA & margin in 2009

Slight decline in revenue, but staff cuts, currency exchange gains & acquisitions help to protect earnings

04-Mar-10 Amec's revenue fell by 3% in 2009, according to preliminary results. The engineering group's total revenue was £2.5 billion, compared to £2.6 billion the previous year.
