SQW-penned guidance for RDAs on renewables potential

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (Decc) has published guidance, written by energy and carbon management consultancy SQW Energy, to help regional authorities calculate the potential their areas have for renewables, and set renewables targets in their new Regional Strategies.

The single Regional Strategies, which will commence on 1 April, will replace existing Regional Spatial Strategies and Regional Economic Strategies.

SQW Energy was established as a trading division of SQW Group in April 2008, and offers services in energy market design and regulation; energy technology strategy and policy; and carbon assessment and management.
