LUC & ADAS win place on Natural England regional frameworks

A consortium led by transport consultancy TRL and including Land Use Consultants (LUC) and ADAS has won a place on four Natural England regional framework contracts, which will see the consortium provide NE with planning support.

Speaking with Environment Analyst, LUC's Jon Grantham explained that LUC will lead on spatial planning issues, landscape character and visual impact, while ADAS will advise on land management issues. Both LUC and ADAS will contribute ecological advice. TRL will offer NE advice on all transport-related issues.

LUC already works with NE on national policy and planning concerns, said Grantham. Serving NE's regional needs, “we might be asked to comment on an environmental impact assessment for a wind farm or to conduct a region-wide review on a particular issue,” he said.
