US analysts report surge in consulting/engineering M&A

Merger and acquisition activity in the environmental and infrastructure engineering consultancy (e/c) sector has been “extremely strong” over the last six months after a slow early 2009, according to US-based strategic advisers Environmental Financial Consulting Group (EFCG).

18-Mar-10  This has been fuelled in part by the strong cash positions of many firms in the industry, in spite of the economic downturn, as well as the “fight for dominance among major players looking to supplement their global positioning and breadth of services,” says EFCG in its latest Overview Letter.
