23-Mar-10
Environmental services are included among a series that Jacobs Engineering will provide for two American airfields earmarked for expansion, the Killeen-Fort Hodd regional airport and Robert Gray army airfield, near Austin, Texas. Fort Hodd is one of the US Army's largest military installations and the city of Killeen is described by Jacobs as being “located in one of the fastest-growing economic corridors” in the USA. The value and length of the contract have not been disclosed.
Jacobs also recently announced that it has been awarded a place on three engineering consultancy framework contracts managed by Transport Scotland. The range of services for which Jacobs will be able to bid includes “environmental appraisals” and other environmental-related projects that form part of Transport Scotland's infrastructure programme.
