New senior management role at Environ UK
Environ has created a new role to ensure oversight of its nine UK offices. Niall Smiddy has been appointed UK managing principal and will report to Environ European president, José Fernandez. Based in Bath, Smiddy has been with Environ since 1996 and was previously the consultancy's managing principal for Wales and south west England. Commenting on his appointment, Smiddy said: “My role is to promote the areas where clients need our help – from Reach to sustainability management, through to supporting international financial institutions. We are also seeing an increasing number of clients coming to us in order to evaluate and manage their liability under the recently introduced carbon reduction commitment.”
