Mouchel wins AMP5 contracts from Yorkshire Water, United Utilities

Multidiscipline consultancy and outsourcing firm Mouchel, recently the subject of an unsolicited bid by support services plc VT Group,has been appointed by Yorkshire Water to provide specialist modelling consultancy services under its AMP5 drainage area planning framework.

The programme will also require Mouchel, which has significant capability inthe water quality and resource management sectors, to investigate multi-stakeholder flooding and environmental issues associated with surface water management plans.

Also, as part of the KMI Plus joint venture with Murphy Group, Interserve Project Services and Kier Construction, Mouchel will modify and refurbish existing non-infrastructure assets under the United Utilities' AMP5 Process Partner framework contract, worth a total of £800 million over the next five years. This extends, until 2015, the partnership between United Utilities and KMI Plus that began during the AMP3 period.
