Grontmij reports flat Q1

Dutch-based consultancy Grontmij has reported that profits after tax for the first quarter of 2010 were the same (€3.7m) as in Q1 2009, if the €5.2 million profit from divestments in Q1 2009 are excluded. However, total revenue fell from €208 million to €185 million.

Chief exective Sylvo Thijsen said the lower revenue in Q1 2010 was "as expected" after demand weakened, as announced in the third quarter of 2009. The unusually long winter also affected productivity.
