JBA Consulting strikes flood risk digital mapping deal

Skipton-headquartered JBA Consulting is seeking to improve its flood risk assessment capabilities via a deal struck with 3D digital mapping specialist, Intermap. Through the use of Intermap's digital elevation map data, JBA says it will be able to offer European clients more “accurate, current and consistent flood assessments” relating to river, surface water, sea surge and reservoir failure risks. Consultancies active in the flood risk assessment sector are increasingly partnering with digital mapping and software firms, as clients demand more detailed information.
