Scott Wilson buys Australian rail consultancy

Less than a month after Scott Wilson was itself acquired, by URS Corporation after the latter outbid C2HM Hill (Environment Analyst 01-Jul-10), Scott Wilson has announced that it has purchased an Australian consultancy specialising in railway operational planning and network capacity assessments. Based in Melbourne, Systemwide Pty Ltd has annual revenue in the region of £1.7 million (AU$3m). The purchase is the outcome of a “strong working relationship over the last five years” between Systemwide and Scott Wilson's Australian team. Commenting on the acquisition Scott Wilson says that Systemwide's “office in the centre of Melbourne further complements Scott Wilson’s business plans of growing its rail and transport infrastructure consultancy business in the vibrant Victorian market”.
