AQC reviews London's air quality monitoring network

Air Quality Consultants (AQC) has completed an assessment of the UK capital's network of 110 automatic air quality monitoring stations on behalf of the Greater London Authority. Review of the network was among the commitments outlined in the Mayor of London's 2010 air quality strategy. The report concludes that while monitoring coverage is generally good - with a small number of additional monitoring stations or upgrades recommended - emissions of nitrogen dioxide (NOx) are not adequately monitored in parts of south and south east London.
