Parsons Brinckerhoff is an international US-based engineering and programme management consultancy with more than 17,000 staff worldwide focused on its core markets of transportation, power/industry/utilties and infrastructure. In October 2009, the group was acquired by the UK infrastructure services giant Balfour Beatty plc in order to extend its geographic footprint in North America and beef up its professional services arm. Site assessment services form an area of core focus for PB's environmental team in the UK.
