- Firms active in UK environmental consultancy were invited to participate in Environment Analyst’s Research Club by completing a survey about their business, 2008 market trends and prospects for the sector from 2009-2013
- Survey responses were received during Q4 2008 and Q1 2009 from companies representing over 35% of the total UK market by core environmental consultancy revenues
- Around half the responses were from large firms (with UK EC revenues of £10m+) and half were from small-to-mid size operators (<£10m)
- Environment Analyst also conducted a detailed gap analysis (concentrating on the top 30 environmental consultancies) to help build a comprehensive picture of the market dynamics, utilising data from a variety of sources including company websites, annual reports & accounts, interviews with senior consultancy executives, as well as trade directories and surveys
