We are working with an award winning global multinational consultancy to appoint a Regional Director for the Geo-Environmental Business Unit.

Our client is a well established, award winning consultancy with a large network of national and international offices who offer a range of services that bridge the worlds of design engineering, environment, project management and planning. They have built a reputation on delivering innovative solutions and are committed to providing excellence and inspiring confidence in everything they do.

Role Outline:

Due to growth demands and opportunities, they are seeking a Regional Director for the Land Quality unit in order to contribute to the sustainable growth of the National business.

The successful candidate will be suitably experienced and recognised as a market leader in the Land Quality/Contaminated Land sector, specifically including the financial, legal and petrochemical fields, and have a demonstrable track record of managing key clients in these industry sectors, particularly in the context of Environmental Due Diligence and Insurance related commissions.

You will be able to demonstrate detailed involvement at a senior level of delivering multi-disciplinary projects. You will be responsible for delivering the growth plans in this sector and it is expected that you will assist the company to secure major new client portfolios.

Key Competencies

Skills:

  • Individuals will have skills and experience in environmental due diligence with a track record of managing key clients in the financial, legal, chemical, petrochemical or related sectors.

  • The successful candidate will be technically accomplished in the contaminated land profession and have demonstrable experience in the characterisation, assessment and mitigation of contaminated land liabilities.

  • You will have exceptional personal skills in team leadership, financial performance monitoring and control, all forms of communication, business development and client care.

  • A highly successful track record in developing, winning and delivering new work will be a prerequisite.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum good first degree, ideally with a higher level second degree (MSc/PhD) and Chartered status of an appropriate professional body is expected.

  • A full driving licence is essential.

Experience

  • You will have an outstanding personal reputation in the market place and should have proven management experience in high profile environmental consultancy or a similar role with a major organisation in the UK, with international market experience seen as an advantage, plus a highly successful track record in commercial delivery and development, team building and leadership, client care and project delivery.

  • Geographical knowledge and a network of business contacts are a must for this role.
