| Details | This is one of several Energy Services job opportunities provided through Allen & York. Energy Services includes Carbon Management, Climate Change, Energy Management, Energy in Buildings My client, a leading carbon management consultancy, is entering an extremely exciting phase in it's development and is looking for a talented professional to join at Principal Consultant level, who can manage and work as part of a team to help address client carbon management issues in a commercially aware way. Reporting into the Directors, you will be required to work with all advisory and commercial staff to achieve objectives. Some of the main requirements of the role are listed below: Technical: Detailed knowledge of issues surrounding climate change, energy and greenhouse gas emissions, likely gained through a Masters degree in a related subject. Working knowledge of carbon accounting standards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants, PAS 2050) and understanding of carbon neutrality standards such as PAS 2060 Detailed understanding of legislative requirements, including the CRC Experience working with clients to achieve external climate change related certifications (Carbon Trust Standard, CEMARS, ISO 16001) Knowledge of carbon accounting / CR reporting software (e.g. Credit 360, Enablon) Advanced knowledge of Excel. Non-Technical: Experience working in a consultative manner to understand client needs and guide them to a solution, preferably demonstrated through client consulting engagements in the private sector. Consulting on the leadership and management of change initiatives, communications, training and other support programs that will effectively prepare client staff and employees to perform optimally. Developing intellectual and commercial assets within the Company, with a focus on continuous improvement. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex project deliveries across multiple simultaneous client engagements. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and present information with confidence in front of an audience, lead client workshops and represent employer at industry events.
