Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA)is an international environmental consultancy, with European operations based in Nottingham. Since the early 1970s we have worked for some of the world’s largest multinationals on projects including global environmental management systems implementation, facility permitting, contaminated land remediation, corporate sustainability report verification and carbon accounting. We have 3,000 staff working in more than 90 offices worldwide. We are looking to expand our UK team and currently have a vacancy for a Senior Environmental Management Consultant:

Responsibilities:

  • Completing technical project work in environmental management services to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction;

  • Managing large and small projects from proposals to completion;

  • Developing business through establishing client relationships and winning repeat work;

  • Developing new services and managing associated projects and staff;

  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to their career development;

  • Meeting targets for revenue and business development;

  • Representing CRA at environmental events and professional forums; and

  • Contributing to the management and growth of the company.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 - 7 years relevant experience gained within a consultancy environment, serving primarily the industrial sectors, including oil and gas; 

  • Educated in a core science or environmental discipline;

  • Excellent project management skills from inception to completion, with the ability to meet deadlines and budgets, as well as excellent staff management skills;

  • Core experience in environmental management, permitting and compliance;

  • Experience in other areas of environmental management, potentially including resource efficiency, design, implementation and audit of EHS management systems, carbon accounting, CSR strategy and report verification, due diligence and compliance auditing, EIA, and health & safety management, or anything else relevant to this broad and challenging position;

  • Business development skills are desirable;

  • You will be an excellent team worker, capable of using your technical and project management skills to help drive the company forward;

  • Good communications skills, preferably with experience of developing and delivering structured training at all organisational levels;

  • You will be a confident, dynamic and motivated individual, with a good technical track record and a desire to continually meet and exceed the expectations of our clients;

  • Clear and concise project report and proposal writing skills;

  • Willingness to travel.
