Summary The role involves the business development and project management of EIA projects in Scotland. There is a major focus on the onshore wind energy market; however support to other key sectors – notably waste and international mining - will also be important.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities for the EIA Project Manager incorporate business development, project management and technical duties, and include:

  • Working with senior EIA staff nationally on preparing and implementing a business development plan

  • Generating tender opportunities and preparing tenders through business development

  • Be the main point of contact with external clients in relation to project deliverables, potential problems and managing client expectations

  • Completing reports and proposals

  • Financial management, including timely invoicing and delivery of company profit target

  • Articulation of client needs and expectations to the project team (internal and external)

  • Review of draft inputs to ensure the required technical quality is achieved

  • Collaboration with staff in the ESIA Technical Team to identify opportunities to strengthen the quality of ESs

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful candidate will be:

  • Degree qualified in a technical discipline

  • Extensively experienced in client relationship management, business development and project delivery

  • Demonstrable relevant experience in this field

  • Strong communication skills (in English), both written and verbal

  • Strong project management / co-ordination skills with a focus on delivery
