The role of Principal Environmental Consultant is a key one in the organization and will involve providing technical and management leadership for our team of environmental scientists and engineers. In addition to providing high level consultancy services, you will be able to ensure our environmental consulting projects are carried out to exacting quality standards, developing and maintaining strong client relationships..  

You should have first class academic qualifications in a relevant science or engineering field, including a higher degree (Masters or Doctorate).. You should also have a minimum of 10-15 years experience in environmental science or engineering, at least 5 years of which must have been gained in a commercial environmental consultancy organization. Experience of managing and delivering environmental projects in the oil and gas sector is also essential, as is in depth experience of environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental baseline studies (EBS’s).

Successful candidates will display the following qualities:

• Ability to direct and manage a wide portfolio of environmental projects

• Leadership qualities, being able to supervise and mentor a multi-national team

• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English

• A passion for technical excellence and product innovation

Previous experience of project work in the GCC region is preferred, although not essential. Experience in at least one of strategic environmental assessment, air quality, noise modelling, or marine sciences would also be advantageous.
