Royal Haskoning assists in planning success for Pembrokeshire wind...

An environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental statement (ES) produced by Royal Haskoning helped to secure planning approval for the development of an onshore wind farm at Wear Point near Milford Haven. Working on behalf of developer, Infinergy, Royal Haskoning has welcomed Pembrokeshire County Council's decision to approve the plan, with the wind farm due to be built on a brownfield site close to a special area of conservation (SAC) and a site of special scientific interest (SSSI). The wind farm should be operational by the end of 2012 and is expected to generate electricity sufficient to supply more than 5,500 homes, equivalent to 11% of Pembrokeshire's residential energy demand.
