Atkins wins 6 Scottish Water framework contracts

Places on six framework contracts to supply “strategic support services” to Scottish Water, representing a combined value of approximately £2.5 billion, have been won by Atkins. The contracts cover the 2010-2015 period and will require Atkins staff to provide services related to: asset performance and business planning; non-infrastructure design; water infrastructure design; wastewater infrastructure design; wastewater modelling; and dams and reservoirs. Commenting on Scottish Water's ambitions over the coming five years, asset and investment manager Ken Hutchison said: “Scottish Water is embarking on a £2.5 billion investment programme, which is, per household, one of the largest in the UK water industry. It is our aim during this investment programme to ... put Scottish Water on a par with the best in the UK water industry".
