Aecom buys Canadian energy infrastructure consultancy

A 550-strong, Montreal-headquartered consultancy, with a strong track record serving energy infrastructure clients, will become part of Aecom. Groupe RSW has offices in Canada, India, Vietnam, Malta and Costa Rica. Its purchase by Aecom will “further strengthen Aecom's ability to win the most complex and demanding projects in the world,” commented Aecom president and chief executive, John Dionisio. RSW's revenue for the year to 30 November 2009 was approximately US$45 million, according to Aecom. The consultancy was founded in 1970 and its energy services experience includes considerable hydro-electric work. Its environmental consultancy services include environmental impact assessment, environmental management and contaminated land remediation.
