SYNOPSIS: SLR is a leading international environmental consultancy with an unrivalled reputation for providing high quality tailored services. With offices in the UK, Africa, Australasia, North America and Canada we provide advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific environmental issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients. SLR specialises in the oil & gas, mining & minerals, renewable energy & low carbon energy, waste management, planning & development, infrastructure and industrial sectors. We also provide expert sustainability advice that spans across all of these sectors. SLR’s Edinburgh office has recently relocated to Edinburgh Park, with excellent public transport connections (Train, Trams, Bus) to Edinburgh City Centre and the surrounding area. As part of this relocation we will also establish a new Stirling office to compliment our existing Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen operations. We are currently looking for ambitious and motivated individuals who want to rise to the challenge of helping with the growth of our business throughout our Scottish offices. Whilst we are keen to speak with individuals whose experience falls within any technical discipline offered by our business, we are particularly keen to speak with individuals whose experience sits within Oil & Gas (EIA, Process Safety, Compliance Management, Unconventional Gas and Waste), Planning and Development (Residential, Minerals, Marine and Transport), Industry, Air Quality, Infrastructure and Renewable Energy. Successful applicants will have the proven ability, or the clear potential, for business development and the development and management of teams within their specialist field. A strong technical background and established ability to deliver projects is a prerequisite. Due to the company’s expanding operations overseas there is also potential for the right individual to expand their work load and client base internationally as well as nationally MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Successful candidates will have a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of both existing and new technical disciplines within an established consultancy; with support from an extensive and diverse range of technical expertise within the Group.
