We currently require a Marine Project Engineer to work in a growing Ports and Marine Terminals Team in London supporting and co-ordinating multiple projects which have a marine and coastal content. Projects mainly involve studies for marine infrastructure including new ports, jetties and breakwaters within large iron ore mining projects and LNG/Hydrocarbons projects and marine outfalls and landfalls. Project studies may form part of large projects that WorleyParsons/Advisian has acquired for the whole scope and value chain within which there is a marine element.

Responsibilities

  • Produce design development of maritime concepts and subsequent coastal, structural and civil design and analyses for jetties, ports, harbours, mooring dolphins, seawalls, breakwaters and dredging as well as other civil facilities during CONCEPT, PRE-FEED and FEED phases with potential follow through into the PMC/EPCM phase
  • Preparation of feasibility and design criteria reports for marine works. 
  • Preparation of technical specifications / reports for marine works 
  • Preparation of design and analysis reports.
  • Co-ordinate/manage the 3D modelling and drafting group.
  • Provide engineering checks of drawings.
  • Preparation of EPC tender documents
  • Build up CTR estimates
  • Ability to co-ordinate subcontract / consultants both internal and external. 
  • Co-operate with the PMT Team globally and other project groups and personnel to ensure design objectives are met including identification and documentation of appropriate design solutions considering such aspects as risk, constructability, fitness for purpose, cost and durability. 
  • Extensive experience in engineering design and construction of maritime and coastal works.

What you will bring

  • Relevant experience in project management and engineering design and construction of maritime and coastal works. Ports, harbours, jetties, seawalls, breakwaters, dredging and reclamation.
  • Experience in design of marine structures such as dolphins, sheet pile walls and berthing facilities.
  • Significant industry related experience.
  • Good understanding of marine geotechnical issues.
  • Professional qualification at University level in Marine/ civil structural engineering (BSc/BEng Preferable).
  • Metocean and/or coastal related qualifications.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Good communication and project engineering skills
