Summary We require a business intelligence researcher to support our market/company research and news publishing activities, and keep our digital products and services fully updated.
Details

Environment Analyst is a small, independent B2B digital publisher of business news and market research reports about the environmental services sector, in the UK and worldwide. We also have publications in the brownfield and development sectors, and run conferences, webinars and awards. We work closely with our sister company, Chemical Watch, from headquarters in Shrewsbury and a branch office in Bath.

Our publishing model demands that we know what's happening among companies in the sector - as news events happen, and in detail as we profile the firms and quantify markets in our market research reports. This new role is at the coalface of this work, seeking and curating business intelligence for both internal news and research teams, and external clients.

We're looking for someone who has a flair for research and is Internet-savvy, able to get quickly to business information and assess its relevancy to our operations. You will perform a daily news scan, to keep the extended editorial team up to date.

You will also be confident and communicative on the phone and via emails as you engage with managers within environmental services firms to encourage them to share information about their company's performance.

Your analytical skills and command of written English will be strong, as you update corporate profiles and reports, and write news and features for publication in our news services, brief articles as you learn about the sector, progressing onto more advanced pieces with experience.

Fast-paced, accurate and technically-competent are three other essential skills required with the role, as you take responsibility for updating internal market intelligence systems and keep our web-based products and service fully up to date, via a content management system.

Under the guidance of our market analysts, you will also be engaged in specific research projects for both our annual report series and other ad-hoc features and reports, utilising your research, analytical and presentational skills.

We seek to create a high learning environment - with experience, skills development and sector knowledge your career progression pathway within Environment Analyst can lead you into market research/consultancy, journalism or digital content management.
