The role will principally focus on contaminated land assessments and geotechnical investigations with occasional assistance working on other environmental projects such as environmental permitting, air quality assessments, noise assessments and flood risk assessments.

The candidate will have a thorough understanding of contaminated land assessment including conceptual models and risk assessment and an understanding of the UK regulatory and planning system. A working knowledge of geotechnical investigation is ideal and an understanding of environmental permitting would be desirable. Applicants must have experience in preparing or contributing to factual and interpretative reports, including Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigation, Remedial Strategies and Verification reports. Experience in coordinating and supervising intrusive geo-environmental investigations and validation works is essential. All successful applicants will need to demonstrate effective communication with clients, contractors and team members alike. 

The candidate is expected to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a university degree in a relevant environmental based subject.

A full UK driving license is essential as there will be the need to travel within the UK, with occasional stop overs.
