GHD Digital strengthened in N America

Professional services provider and consultancy GHD has strengthened its GHD Digital arm in North America with the appointment of four senior executives to help drive growth across the region.

Initially launched in Australia and New Zealand in 2016 before being rolled out in North America last year (EA 20-Mar-18), GHD Digital offers a range of services aimed at helping clients achieve growth and transformation opportunities associated with the ‘fourth industrial revolution’.

The firm's North American digital transformation leader, Ryan Shepherd, said: "We are excited to see GHD Digital enter North America as we broaden our client offering from traditional engineering services to wider business consultancy services. Our clients are going through tremendous change due to technological advancements with many expecting a disruption of their business model in the next five years."

GHD has ambitious growth plans for its digital business, with expansion across the US and Canada a key step, as global digital leader Kumar Parakala explained: "Major infrastructure across the region is primed for digital disruption. By combining the experience of our global team with strategic alliance partnerships and differentiated solutions, we are confident we will add significant value to our client’s transformation outcomes. We will continue to expand our capability and geographical footprint through organic growth and acquisition of high-value assets."

Joining GHD’s 500-strong network of digital professionals are:

  • Bob Armacost, who has has previously held roles at Bain and KPMG, as GHD digital leader North America
  • Scott Boutwell, who has previously held roles at CH2M and URS, as regional market development leader North America
  • Ryan Apps as practice director smart technology solutions North America
  • Anand Ramachandran as practice director, digital innovation North America, bringing expertise in artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics and automation
