We are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Graduate Scientist to join our well-established team in Aberdeen/Dundee. The successful candidate will provide technical environmental support to our impressive list of oil and gas clients.

The team specialises in environmental permitting, EIA / SEA and specialist environmental studies for a variety of offshore industries including oil and gas, marine renewables and offshore cables. The role will consist of a wide range of tasks related to offshore oil and gas permitting and EIA, including the potential for a future secondment into client offices. The successful applicant will have:-

  • BSc in relevant science or environment subject (ideally including a marine aspect).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
  • High level of numeracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to multi task and possess good time management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Fluency in English.

In addition, any of the following skills would be desirable:-

  • Knowledge of UK Marine Environmental Legislation.
  • Knowledge of one or more marine sector (oil & gas, marine cables, renewables).
  • Knowledge of marine survey techniques and assessment methods for evaluating impacts on marine receptors.
  • Applied knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
