£35m fund launched for innovative projects

Up to £19m in funds will be given to UK projects across the manufacturing, materials, and infrastructure sectors and £16m will be given for business-graduate partnerships.

In particular, Innovate UK seeks projects that address smart infrastructure; urban living solutions; "hard" solutions related to energy, transport, waste, water, and communication; environmental systems including green spaces and waterways; energy supply and systems; and connected transport projects.

Up to 70% of eligible project costs will be given for projects with total costs of between £25,000 and £3m, which could last from three months to three years.

It is open to UK-based businesses of any size and the deadline for applications is 31 January 2018.
