We are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Graduate Scientist to join our well-established team in Aberdeen / Dundee. The successful candidate will provide technical environmental support to our impressive list of oil and gas clients.
The team specialises in environmental permitting, EIA / SEA and specialist environmental studies for a variety of offshore industries including oil and gas, marine renewables and offshore cables. The role will consist of a wide range of tasks related to offshore oil and gas permitting and EIA, including the potential for a future secondment into client offices.
Required skills and experience
The successful applicant will have:-
BSc in relevant science or environment subject (ideally including a marine aspect).
High level of numeracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Additional desirable skills
In addition, any of the following skills would be desirable:-
Knowledge of UK Marine Environmental Legislation.
Knowledge of one or more marine sector (oil & gas, marine cables, renewables).
Knowledge of marine survey techniques and assessment methods for evaluating impacts on
Applied knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
