Arcadis launches City of 2030 accelerator project

The aim of the City of 2030-themed Digital Innovation Hub is to provide a stimulus to helps companies kick-start urban-centric technologies.

Arcadis will provide mentorship to these international strartups; and, together with entrepreneur network Techstars, it will also help these companies prepare for fundraising and the showcasing of their innovations this May.

The first 10 startups chosen have developed ideas to improve our cities in areas such as urban planning, mobility, housing, and wellness at work. These include:

  • Urban Data Eye (Spain), which combines artificial intelligence, cameras, and data analytics to give us a better idea of how public space is used
  • Etalyc (US), which applies data analytics to traffic management systems
  • Senscity (Australia) – a climate change impact assessment platform that informs investment decisions in urban green spaces
  • CAALA (Germany), which seeks to optimise sustainable building design and carbon footprint in the entire lifecycle of that edifice
  • City Flag (US), a social network for city services
  • Kndrd CoLiving’s (US) prop-tech service for the co-living industry
  • and Pause’s (US) meditation pods for public spaces.
