Specialist marine consultancy, ABPmer, is looking for an experienced B2B Communications Officer who is self-motivated, organised and creative to work alongside our Marketing and Sales Manager and be our digital lead.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing our marketing communications programme. Whether you are developing campaigns, managing our websites, creating engaging content, overseeing social media, providing insight, reacting to analytics or optimising user journeys you will use your knowledge and experience to raise our profile, increase engagement and further establish ABPmer’s position as a global marine consultancy.

From the start, you will hit the ground running and ensure our key messages are delivered via a range of channels, building relationships with our subject matter experts and creating innovative communications and ideas in support to on and offline marketing campaigns.


About you

Essential knowledge, experience, abilities and skills

  • Educated to degree level or above
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a (marketing) communications role
  • Experienced in managing and maintaining websites and social media channels
  • Track record in delivering successful marketing campaigns within budget and to deadline
  • Established ability to prepare and edit effective online content, press releases, editorial
  • Experience in SEO, interpreting statistics and using analytics to inform future activity
  • Accurate in everything they do with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, associates and media contacts
  • Have successfully worked with web developers, agencies and other third parties
  • Knowledge of advanced design programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Quark Express
  • Practiced in managing a variety of projects with conflicting deadlines

Desirable knowledge, experience, abilities and skills

  • A degree or professional qualification in a marketing related discipline
  • Experience gained within a consultancy or marine industry
  • Experience working with online marketing software programmes
  • Able to produce, edit and subtitle video
  • Knowledge of GDPR
