Liz Trew, co-founder of Environment Analyst, leads our market intelligence service. She is a respected commentator on the UK environmental sector, with particular expertise in the consultancy market. Before Environment Analyst, Liz was an analyst at ENDS, the environmental business publisher.

Julian Rose co-founded Environment Analyst in 2008. Before Environment Analyst, Julian was Editor of The ENDS Report, the environmental business journal. He is also chairman and co-founder of Chemical Watch, our sister company.

Ian Grant, editorial director of our Development & Infrastructure Service, joined Environment Analyst in 2014 following our acquisition of Brownfield Briefing. He is the founder-editor of Brownfield Briefing, which he has nurtured since launch in 2001. Earlier roles include editor of Environment Business newsletter.

Stuart Foxon is a director of Environment Analyst. His market background goes back to 1992 when he researched the first UK environmental consultancy market report for ENDS. Before joining us, Stuart managed market research at food, beverage and environmental consultancy, Zenith International.


Anya Hembrough has helped research and produce Environment Analyst's Global Market Intelligence Service and environmental consulting news flow for several years. She previously worked at Zenith International, researching global markets for food, beverage and environmental consultancy. A trained linguist, she has also worked for the Financial Times.

Charlotte joined us in 2016 after gaining an MSc in psychology from Keele university which included modules in advanced statistics and qualitative analysis. She has also worked as a visiting lecturer and social worker assistant. 

Ross Griffiths has helped research and produce our UK Market Intelligence Service and news flow for several years, and is also a senior editor of EIA+Planning Briefing. He graduated from Swansea University with an MSc in Environmental Dynamics and Climate Change. 

Eoin joined us in 2016 as senior reporter on Brownfield Briefing and our other Infrastructure & Development briefings. Previous journalistic experience includes spells at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and managing social media for a charity.


Our events manager, Matthew Abbott is responsible for our growing range of conferences and webinars and the prestigious Brownfield Briefing Awards. His past experience includes spells managing events in the health and local government sectors.

Amanda has worked as a conference producer for Brownfield Briefing and Environment Analyst for several years and is behind many of our most successful event series. Past experience includes the energy and utilities division of IIR Global Conferences.

Sales & Marketing

Faye joined the company as a member of the sales team in 2017 from a background of sales and marketing within the construction industry. Faye deals with subscriptions, events and exhibitor sales as well as advertising.


Beccy is responsible for all marketing activities at Environment Analyst. Before joining the company in 2016 she worked for multinational publisher Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc in London. Beccy has a BSc in geography from the University of Exeter.

John Thornton

John joined us in 2017 as an administrative and data support officer. He deals with customer enquiries, and helps keep our data clean and well structured. John has a masters degree from Aberystwyth University.

Harrison is responsible for design and production at Environment Analyst. After gaining a BA hons in graphic design in Bristol, he did a short stint working in London before going onto work for Buckinghamshire Business First.

Petya joined Environment Analyst in 2015 as a member of the marketing team and is responsible for web content management and print production. She has worked in similar positions in national associations in the UK, Bulgarian Energy Holding and the tourism industry in Greece. She has a BA in International Relations.
