Entec wins technical services contract from Homes & Communities...

Newcastle-based consultancy Entec, now owned by Amec, has been appointed to sit on a multidisciplinary technical services panel operated by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). The four-year appointment allows Entec to offer technical advisory services to a range of organisations in England, including local authorities, urban regeneration companies and housing associations. “The remit of the expanded scope of the panel includes full planning, environmental, engineering, cost and property consultancy services,” according to Entec, which has already worked for the HCA for a number of years. Entec has acted as technical adviser to the HCA's “carbon challenge”, which is subjecting the UK's most ambitious low-carbon building standard – level six of the code for sustainable homes – to 'real life' testing.
