Jacobs wins consultancy framework extension from Kent CC
Kent County Council (CC) has extended its contract with Jacobs Engineering Group until 2013. The “professional and highways consultancy contract” allows Jacobs to bid for work from Kent CC's highways division as well to bid to provide technical advice and support relating to “environmental, regeneration and waste services”. Multi-year, broad spectrum framework contracts with British local authorities are increasingly sought after by multidisciplinary consultancies, in part because expected downsizing of local authorities may lead to increased demand for outsourced services of the type covered by such contracts.
