EPA considers PFOA and PFOS regulation for drinking water
The US Environmental Protection Agency has proposed regulating perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in drinking water as part of its per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) action plan. However, the EPA is proposing not to regulate six other PFAS substances.
